Mission Statement

CMUA's Legislative Committee is the primary policy committee of the Association. During each two year session of the California Legislature, the Legislative Committee reviews the more than 3,000 bills introduced each year. As a result, CMUA takes positions on hundreds of bills affecting publicly owned water, gas and electric utilities. The Committee works primarily on a consensus basis.
