Trinity Public Utilities District Director Kelli Gant was recently appointed to the American Public Power Association's Policy Maker's Council (PMC).

The PMC is made up of 45 locally elected and appointed officials from public power communities across the nation. The council's mission is to help APPA move legislation forward that's important to public power utilities nationwide. Members attend two APPA events: the Legislative Rally and PMC Summer Meeting.

Gant has been a Trinity PUD board member for seven years and was appointed by former Governor Jerry Brown to the North Coast Water Quality Control Board in 2015.

Other California POU representatives on the PMC include SMUD Board President Dave Tamayo, Modesto Irrigation District Board Member John Mensinger and City of Vernon Mayor Yvette Woodruff-Perez.
