With an emphasis on resiliency, reliability, and outstanding community service, Truckee Donner Public Utility District (TDPUD) provides sustainable, reliable, and high-quality water and electric services to over 14,000 electric customers and over 13,000 water customers in a 45.5 square mile service area in and around the Sierra Nevada town of Truckee. Supported by two highly skilled professional engineers, the Electrical Engineering Manager will oversee several complex projects simultaneously including: substation reconstruction, extension of the fiberoptic network to all TDPUD facilities, and rebuilding and/or replacing infrastructure throughout the District’s service area. The ideal candidate graduated from an ABET accredited college or university with a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE), with an emphasis on power systems. They have six years of increasing responsibility in utilities OR six years consulting engineering experience relating to electric utility planning and operations with emphasis on design, construction, and operation of electrical distribution systems. In addition, they are a registered Professional Electrical Engineer with the State of California.
