Placer County Water Agency encompasses the entire, 1,500-square-mile boundary of Placer County, ranging from the rim of the Sacramento Valley on the west to the Sierra Nevada and Lake Tahoe on the east.  The Agency is headquartered in Auburn and carries out a broad range of responsibilities including water resource planning and management, retail and wholesale supply of irrigation water and drinking water, production of hydroelectric power and watershed stewardship across Placer County.  We are seeking talented candidates to join our team for the position of:
 
DEPUTY DIRECTOR OF TECHNICAL SERVICES

$137,169 - $175,065 annually, DOQ, plus excellent benefits
 
PCWA is seeking an energetic and experienced individual to assist the Director of Technical Services in organizing, directing and managing the Agency’s Water and Agency Wide Capital Improvement Program and various staff within the Agency’s Engineering Division. This position includes managing a team of engineers and technical staff to provide engineering and technical support to operations and maintenance staff in and other agency departments.   Our ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field, plus five years of increasingly responsible professional engineering experience with three years involving the development of transmission, treatment and storage facilities, including two years of supervisory responsibility, or the equivalent.  Registration as a Professional Engineer in California is required.  Public sector experience and/or experience at a water or electric utility is highly desirable.  Visit our website for detailed recruitment information and to complete the on-line application: www.pcwa.net.
