Operations & Optimization Manager
Under the direction of the San Francisco Public Utilities Commission (SFPUC) Chief Strategy Officer and Assistant General Manager of External Affairs (AGM) and the Director of Strategy, Planning, and Innovation, the Operations & Optimization Manager performs a broad range of work including the development of data solutions to inform strategic planning, program development, implementation of process improvements to improve the External Affairs Bureau’s culture, employee development and support, accountability, strategy, and outcomes. This position will work closely with the leadership of SFPUC's EA Bureau, other SFPUC enterprises and bureaus, and external groups on a wide range of community, policy, communications, and strategic planning-related work. This position manages operations and resource optimization, and supports staff in receiving the tools, resources, data-instructed analytical design, and other tools to maximize employee-centered effectiveness and wellness, achieve efficiencies, optimize processes, and work product delivery, and develop a culture of interconnected and accountable employees and communities.

Requirements |
Qualify By:
Education: Possession of a baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university;
AND
Experience: Five (5) years of professional experience developing and/or implementing processes, programs, and policies in external affairs; public policy; government affairs; community benefits; communications; or related functional areas; experience must include three (3) years of supervisory experience.
SUBSTITUTION: Additional experience as described above may be substituted for the required degree on a year-for-year basis (up to a maximum of two (2) years. One (1) year is equivalent to thirty (30) semesters or forty-five (45) quarter units.
