Placer County Water Agency encompasses the entire, 1,500-square-mile boundary of Placer County, ranging from the rim of the Sacramento Valley on the west to the Sierra Nevada and Lake Tahoe on the east.  The Agency is headquartered in Auburn and carries out a broad range of responsibilities including water resource planning and management, retail and wholesale supply of irrigation water and drinking water, production of hydroelectric power and watershed stewardship across Placer County.
We are seeking candidates for the position of:
 
TREATMENT PLANT OPERATOR / OPERATOR TRAINEE II
Operator: $73,852 - $94,263 annually, DOQ, plus excellent benefits
Operator Trainee II: $57,869- $73,852 annually, DOQ, plus excellent benefits
 
PCWA is seeking a dynamic individual to perform a variety of functions related to operating, repairing and maintaining the Agency’s water treatment plants and related facilities OR assist Water Treatment Plant Operators in the operation, repair and maintenance of our water treatment plants and related facilities in an advanced trainee capacity.  Our ideal candidate at the Operator level will be an experienced operator with at least two years of progressively responsible experience similar to the Agency’s Treatment Plant Operator Trainee II level, and he/she will possess a valid California Department of Public Health Water Treatment Operators Certificate, Grade 3.  The ideal candidate at the Operator Trainee II level will possess experience consistent with the State of California’s requirements for obtaining and maintaining a Water Treatment Operators Certificate, Grade 2 and will possess the valid Grade 2 certificate.
