As the Director of Utilities, you will be at the helm of an essential division that powers the Port of Oakland’s expansive operations. You will lead the transition of utilities to the Port, manage complex energy systems including microgrids and battery storage, and drive forward environmental initiatives like solar energy projects and maintaining the Port’s hydrogen fueling stations. This role is not just about managing utilities; it’s about shaping the future of energy and sustainability at the Port of Oakland.

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION
This position requires education and experience reflecting possession of the required knowledge and skills. A typical combination would include graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's degree with major coursework in electrical engineering, business or public administration, or another related field plus at least seven years of professional experience in the management of a utility-related operation, including at least three years managing professional staff. |
