Distribution System Operator
The Imperial Irrigation District a public utility located in southeastern CA is seeking a Distribution System Operator to monitor and control electrical distribution system operations and equipment; prevent and restore the electric distribution system and maintain the operations reliability of the electrical distribution system; direct switching performed by field technicians and troubleshooters; coordinate customer outages, emergency restoration and clearances; maintain customer outage information database; comply with North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC), Western Electricity Coordinating Council (WECC) and District operating policies and procedures. Performs other duties as assigned. |

| Requirements |
Bachelor's degree in engineering, math, business or other related field OR Associate's degree in engineering, math, business or other related field and four years of electric systems, operation maintenance or line construction, electrical, electronic or computer science related work including design and analysis functions experience in the electrical field.
EEI System Operator/Power Dispatcher (SOPD II) pre-employment test.
Direct and equivalent related power system operation, maintenance line construction, or relevant electrical utility fieldwork experience may be substituted for the required education at the ratio of two years of experience for one year of education required.
