The challenges facing public utilities are becoming more complex, more interconnected, and increasingly difficult to address in isolation. That is why CMUA is bringing together a select group of utility executives for the CMUA Utility Executive Summit on September 29, 2026, in Roseville.
 
This summit is designed specifically for general managers, utility directors, and other senior leaders who are responsible for setting direction, managing change, and making decisions that affect their organizations, employees, customers, and communities.

Unlike a traditional conference built around a series of presentations, the Utility Executive Summit is intended to create something increasingly valuable for senior leaders: time and space for meaningful peer-to-peer conversation.
 
Throughout the day, participants will have the opportunity to discuss the operational, organizational, workforce, financial, regulatory, and leadership issues they are navigating with colleagues who understand the realities of running a public utility. The goal is not simply to hear what others are doing, but to explore what is working, what is changing, where utilities are encountering challenges, and what lessons can be shared across organizations.
